PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recently supported an e-learning session on brand activation organized by CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative (CLIMBS), the Co-operative College of the Philippines (Co-op College PH), and the National Federation of Cooperative Primaries in the Philippines (NaFeCOOP) for its member cooperatives (coops) nationwide.

“We, at PLDT and Smart, recognize the key role of our infrastructure and technologies in helping cooperatives thrive. We continue to foster digital inclusion through our corporate shared value programs, as we expand livelihood opportunities that can benefit Filipinos, including coops nationwide,” said Stephanie V. Orlino, AVP and head of Stakeholder Management at PLDT and Smart.

Supported by the Philippine Partnerships for Sustainable Agriculture, the webinar, which was participated by over 135 coop members and officers, focused on how to maximize digital channels to further enhance their brand activation efforts.

Leveraging on digital technology to further boost productivity among cooperatives through brand activation, the session focused on strategies on content and social media marketing, including online engagement.

Highlighting the vital role of digital tools in empowering Filipino MSMEs and coops, this e-learning session is a key component of PLDT and Smart’s eBiznovation initiative, a digital upskilling-to-ecommerce program that aims to provide local entrepreneurs with the right digital tools to help them grow their businesses online. To date, PLDT and Smart have trained more than 10,000 MSMEs and coop members nationwide on digital literacy and entrepreneurship.

“This webinar is important as we undergo digital transformation in doing business. Discussion on brand activation is also a crucial part of crafting our marketing strategies. We are excited about how we can create impact, not just within but also outside our cooperatives, through branding and digital technology,” said Noel D. Raboy, President and Chief Executive Officer of CLIMBS.

The PLDT Group remains fully committed to promoting inclusive technologies that can help boost livelihood opportunities among Filipino coops, leaving no one behind. The eBiznovation program also highlights the PLDT Group’s support to the government’s Go Digital Pilipinas Movement as a founding member of the Digital Infrastructure pillar of the Private Sector Advisory Council, which seeks to uplift the lives of Filipinos through adoption of digital services.
